Bespoke by Evans Invests in New Sublimatic Thermoprinting Technology

Manchester based textiles company, Bespoke by Evans invests in a new digital sublimation printer which uses heat to transfer dye onto flame retardant fabrics for use in the contract sector

Following the past few years of strong growth and even greater demand for its bespoke fabric designs, the business has invested in a new sublimatic printer which had been specifically chosen and imported from Italy. “With our new Italian-engineered printing technology, we not only achieve the highest quality print results, but we can also meet our customer demands in less time.” says Paul Callan Managing Director of the Evans Group of Companies. It’s fantastic to be able to offer a custom signature on a range of fabrics printed within the UK

The new sublimation printer allows Bespoke by Evans to print its custom designs using unique sublimation dyes onto “transfer” paper through a specialised print head. The machine now fulfils a need to bring concepts to life inhouse allowing customers own personal signatures to be applied. After the digital design is printed onto sublimation transfer sheets, it is placed on a heat press to be sublimated.

The end result of the sublimation printing process is a high resolution, full colour digital designs printed on a range of fabrics which are all inherently flame retardant. As the dyes are infused on a molecular level, rather than applied at a surface level, the final finished fabric prints do not crack, fade or peel ensuring customers and get the very best bespoke designed fabrics for their clients. “Bespoke by Evans is a market-leading FR fabric supplier to the contract market, we have a rapidly growing business and great success with our bespoke design and contract print services offering flame-retardant fabrics with endless design possibilities. Our investment in our new printer shows our commitment to customer excellence and as a business, we’ve taken FR contract print to the next level”.

Bespoke by Evans reports that many customers opt to use their contract fabric print service to achieve custom that coordinate or offer a wow factor in their interior design schemes – often ‘traditional’ pattern book designs simply do not offer the flexability or meet the specific needs of clients.  “Many customers not only chose our services because of our aesthetics benefits but also that of our print quality and capabilities – we offer leading high standards that give our customers peace of mind. Quality and customer satisfaction have always been a top priority at Bespoke by Evans” concluded Paul.
